Wedding Photographer & Visual Storyteller
Wedding Photographer
isasouri : – Professional Wedding and Portrait Photographer in the Gers and Brittany
My name is Isabelle SOURIMENT BAZIN. I’m a French visual artist and photographer, born in Brest. At 18, I moved to England, where I lived for 12 years before settling in the beautiful region of the Gers, in southwest France.
Photography is my main medium of expression. I specialize in portrait photography, photojournalism, corporate photography, visual artist, and authentic storytelling in weddings. My artistic approach blends emotion, elegance, and real-life moments.
I work throughout the Gers and beyond, capturing the essence of people, places, and stories. I photograph stunning estates for Gascogne Collection, Gers Armagnac, collaborate on diverse visual art projects, and create meaningful portraits that stand the test of time.
I’ve been awarded in prestigious international photography competitions, recognizing the strength and sensitivity of my visual storytelling.
Available for portrait sessions, artistic collaborations, weddings, events, and documentary projects.

Wedding and Portrait Photographer
As a wedding and portrait photographer based in Southwest France, my approach is deeply rooted in a documentary aesthetic that values authenticity, raw emotion, and the beauty of genuine human connection.
For me, photography goes far beyond offering a service, it’s a way of creating meaningful, timeless images that reveal your true essence.
At times, I blend reality with artistic staging — not to distort, but to reveal something deeper: a moment of poetry, a space for reflection, or an elegant escape.
I work with couples who love poetry, art, emotion, and subtle visual storytelling, but also seek the intensity of a real moment, lived fully, in all its sincerity.
My work is not just about capturing moments; it’s about reflecting your connection with others and with yourself, so that when you look back at your photos, you truly see yourself in them.
I’m not here to simply “tell stories.”
My photography questions our relationship to the world, to others, and to ourselves.
That added perspective — shaped by curiosity, doubt, and wonder — opens the door to another kind of vision: one that invites you to feel more deeply, remember differently, and find your place in a world that’s constantly evolving.
If you’re looking for a wedding or portrait photographer who captures not just what you see, but what you feel, then I might be the right fit for you.
Connection creates beautiful images!
Breaking the Frame
Sometimes, I seek to push the boundaries of the frame, as if to better capture the reality and depth of the image, exploring the space between reality and fiction, and what it reveals about our inner world.
My work is a reflection on the image, a narrative that is sometimes suggested but never forced. My photography captures a reality, while leaving room for a second look. This subtle balance between the real and the imaginary is the foundation of my inspiration: it allows me to focus on what truly matters, freezing in time what is worth being looked at and felt.

A sincere, artistic, and documentary approach.
As a wedding photographer, I strive to offer my clients an authentic approach that honors their unique story. I love capturing the intensity of decisive moments, while paying close attention to the details, the atmosphere of the venues, and those visual pauses that touch both the eye and the heart.
At times, I add a touch of lighthearted humor, as I believe that stories can also be told with playfulness without ever compromising their truth.

Choosing the Right Wedding Photographer:
Capturing Timeless Moments with Emotion and Professionalism
Choosing the Right Wedding Photographer: Capturing Timeless Moments with Emotion and Professionalism
Every story deserves to be told with respect and sensitivity. What you’re experiencing today is precious: for you, for those you hold dear, and for future generations. It’s truly a personal and family heritage, made of those emotionally charged moments that we love to revisit again and again… especially when the sky is a little gray. Remember that only photographs remain after so much personal and financial investment! If I could redo my wedding, back when I knew nothing about weddings in 2010, I would have spent more money on wedding photography. It’s not something you necessarily think about, so here’s just a little advice.
That’s why choosing the right wedding photographer is essential. This decision isn’t just about style or aesthetics; it’s about a human connection. I like to say that I’ll be both your eyes and your heart. For this reason, I always suggest an in-person or virtual meeting before the big day: it’s crucial to feel that good “match” and shared energy.
On your wedding day, I’m often very close to my couples. Present but discreet, I become an ally, a trusted friend you can really count on. I work with a non-judgmental approach, full of empathy, kindness, and humor.
And since I’m affectionately known as Isasouri, I never come without my kit of good mood and first aid! Because capturing your day also means accompanying you with warmth and professionalism, so you can fully experience every moment.
✨ Emotion, human connection, light, and mutual trust for unforgettable memories.

Ethical and Committed Wedding Photographer
For Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Weddings
As a french wedding photographer, I also see myself as an eco-conscious photographer, aware of the environmental impact of my profession. Whenever possible, I prioritize local weddings near my home in the Gers or in Brittany, in order to limit travel and reduce my carbon footprint. Here’s an article on this topic, featuring a wedding at the Château de Poudenas.
🌿 Choosing a local wedding photographer is also a gesture for the planet.
That’s why I highlight exceptional local venues that share the same values. I truly believe in an eco-responsible approach to our work — more human, more sustainable, more mindful.
I’ve also noticed that some châteaux run by English-speaking owners don’t mention me, even though we’ve worked together and I’m fully bilingual. It’s a missed opportunity, as I believe we all gain from collaborating locally and building strong networks. This in no way diminishes the quality of our collaboration — I remain open, professional, and enthusiastic.
✨ So please don’t hesitate to give credit where it’s due!
Working together locally means supporting the local economy, reducing our ecological impact, and creating lasting memories — far beyond the fleeting likes on Instagram.
Originally from Brittany, where part of my family still lives, I’m always delighted to travel for weddings in Brittany or around the Gers. Two regions close to my heart, two lands of inspiration I love to capture with a sincere, artistic, and sustainably minded approach.
For a Meaningful Wedding

Because Every Choice Matters
Because every action counts, and we all share the responsibility of preserving a livable and compassionate world for our children — and for future generations — it’s essential to make conscious choices, even for a once-in-a-lifetime event like your wedding day.
💡 Did you know? A wedding generates an average of 10 tons of CO₂ emissions, more than the annual consumption of an average French household. A powerful statistic that encourages us to reflect on the environmental impact of weddings.
To help reduce this footprint, consider choosing local vendors who are committed to an ethical and eco-responsible approach.
Opting for eco-friendly wedding suppliers and conscious creators is a powerful act one that supports a more just, more sustainable world, while still offering all the beauty, joy, and emotion that such a special day deserves.
Eco-Friendly Weddings:
A Commitment Close to My Heart

This subject is truly meaningful to me. That’s why I’ve been passionate about creating several inspirational photo shoots around the theme of the eco-friendly wedding.
Unfortunately, this topic is still often overlooked, and the solidarity between eco-conscious vendors can be fragile.
For instance, the wonderful Eco-Wedding blog, which used to highlight these inspiring initiatives, has sadly disappeared…
But I’m happy to share here some of the eco-wedding shoots I co-organized, notably at the Château de Poudenas and the Domaine d’Escapa.
🌿 These projects were driven by a true, shared desire to do things differently: more local, more ethical, more conscious.
This path also led me to a deeply moving experience: I had the honor of photographing the wedding of a lovely couple at the Domaine d’Escapa, who were themselves fully committed to a respectful and sustainable approach.
✨ I’ll be telling you their beautiful story in an upcoming article…

A Personal Commitment
At the Heart of My Artistic and Documentary Approach
My connection to nature and human stories is at the core of my work — not only in my professional assignments, but also in my personal projects.
Through my artistic and documentary series, I explore the deep relationships between the environment, emotion, and human narratives.
Even if not everything is always perfectly up to date, I’d like to share a few links to my personal work here projects (in French) that reflect my deep commitment to a form of photography that is sensitive, mindful, and deeply connected to the living world.

Before Making Your Choice
Questions You Might Be Asking
You’re getting married soon (maybe even in the Gers or Brittany?) and you probably have a few questions in mind.
For example:
❔ How much does a wedding photographer cost?
❔ Where can I find a good professional photographer?
❔ What makes a great photo?
❔ Is there such a thing as the best wedding photographer?
