Couple session in Castera-Lectourois

Whether it’s an engagement session or a marriage proposal, this couple photo shoot is a meaningful moment to celebrate love and connection.

We met in the charming village of Castera-Lectourois, in the heart of the Gers, for A+C’s engagement session. I instantly fell in love with their bold colours, their enthusiasm, their simplicity, and the obvious love they share. Their natural chemistry was undeniable, and we laughed together throughout the entire shoot, carried by the warmth of a late summer evening.

For their session, I suggested this beautiful village because our Parisian couple has a deep affection for old stone, authentic places, and the timeless villages of the Gers. They also love sunflowers, though by late August, most had turned dark and dry under the summer sun. So we stayed within the village, wandering and playing through its hidden corners, while admiring the hot air balloons of Gascogne drifting gently in the distance.

These intimate engagement sessions are precious moments, a way to truly get to know each other before the wedding day. We photographed this one just three days before their celebration. Even at 8pm, the heat lingered. But most of all, this session allowed them to realise something important: being photographed doesn’t have to be difficult, and they genuinely enjoyed it.
